Cardinal Air Direct | Shipping & Delivery Policies
- Service Area & Fulfillment
- Coverage: Cardinal Air Direct provides shipping to the 48 contiguous United States. We do not offer shipping to Alaska or Hawaii at this time.
- Processing: Once an order is received, it is carefully prepared for transit via professional common carriers.
- Lead Times: Standard delivery is currently estimated at 3–10 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Please note that special orders or out-of-stock items may require additional lead time.
- Shipping Rates & Restrictions
- Free Shipping: Standard orders exceeding $1,500 qualify for free shipping. Please note that commercial products are excluded from this offer.
- Flat Rate Shipping: Orders of $1,500 or less are subject to a **$80 shipping fee**
- Fragile Items: Due to their delicate nature, certain items (e.g., evaporator coils, copper tubing) may only be shipped when bundled with an HVAC system or major components (furnace/condensing unit) to ensure safe arrival.
- Delivery Logistics
- Residential Delivery: Freight is delivered via large commercial trucks. Drivers cannot pull into residential driveways.
- Unloading: Delivery is "tailgate only." The customer is responsible for removing the freight from the truck.
- Lift Gate Service: If you are unable to assist with unloading, a lift gate truck may be requested for an additional fee to lower the freight to the ground. Once offloaded, the customer is responsible for moving the equipment to its final location.
- Inspection & Damage Claims (Critical)
- F.O.B. Terms: All equipment orders are shipped fully insured and are F.O.B. from the point of origin. Once the order leaves our dock, ownership and responsibility transfer to the customer (consignee).
- Immediate Inspection: You must inspect all equipment in the presence of the driver. Do not sign the delivery receipt until you have performed a thorough inspection.
- Notating Damage: Carriers will not honor claims for damage or shortages unless they are clearly noted on the delivery receipt at the time of arrival.
- Severity of Damage:
- Cosmetic Damage: If damage is strictly cosmetic, you may accept the delivery, provided you note the details on the shipping documents and take photos. We will assist you in filing a claim for repair costs.
- Severe Damage: If damage is significant, refuse the damaged portion only, and Cardinal Air Direct will ship a replacement at no additional charge.
- Note on Coil Fin Integrity: Please be advised that minor cosmetic blemishes, such as slightly bent or compressed fins, are a common occurrence during the manufacturing and assembly of condenser and evaporator coils. These superficial variations are purely aesthetic and do not impact the system's thermal performance, airflow, or overall operational efficiency.
- Reporting Deadline: All claims must be submitted in writing to both Cardinal Air Direct and the carrier within 24 hours of delivery.
- Legal & Returns
- Policy Compliance: Returns or refusals for reasons other than shipping damage are subject to our Return Policy.
- Dispute Resolution: In the event of litigation, the point of venue shall be Lake County, FL. The Purchaser shall be responsible for all reasonable attorney’s fees and costs incurred by Cardinal Air Direct.
